— Our Services
TJB Plumbing Co Ltd installs, replaces and relocates radiators across Manchester city centre and surrounding areas. We are fully qualified with 13 years’ hands‑on experience - we size radiators, fit valves and pipework, then commission and balance the system so every room reaches temperature quickly. We advise on radiator type and placement for Victorian terraces, city flats and modern apartments, and leave work tidy with clear explanations and paperwork.

— Our Process
We visit your property (city flats, terraces or houses), measure the room, check pipe routes and advise the correct radiator type and BTU rating before quoting.
We fit the radiator, valves and concealed or visible pipework in copper or PEX as required, secure brackets and test all joints to 3 bar pressure where applicable.
We purge, add inhibitor if needed, set TRVs and balance flow/return so each radiator performs efficiently, then hand over care advice and documentation.
— Benefits
Based in Manchester with 13 years’ local trade experience - same‑day responses for urgent installs and quick arrival times for scheduled work.
Fully qualified plumber on-site for every job; installations meet industry standards with neat pipe runs, correct valve choices and proper commissioning.
We size, position and balance radiators to avoid cold spots and reduce run times - saving energy and cutting complaints about uneven heating.
What we install: single and double panel convectors, column radiators, slimline flat panels, towel rails and purpose‑made radiators for bay windows or tricky alcoves. We fit thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs), lockshield valves and can replace old copper with modern PEX where access or cost dictates. For city‑centre flats and Victorian terraces we advise on wall fixings, floorboard pipe runs and low surface temperature options for bathrooms.
Installation & commissioning process: after a room survey we recommend radiator sizes (BTU), valve types and pipe routes. Installation includes secure mounting, leak testing, system purge and inhibitor dosing where required. We then balance the system so flow rates match each radiator’s output. Tom explains the controls, shows you how TRVs work and leaves a tidy, tested finish with a clear estimate and service notes.
— FAQ
A straightforward replacement usually takes 1–3 hours. New installs or relocations with additional pipework can take a half to a full day depending on access and room count. We confirm a clear timescale on the survey so you know what to expect.
